Oversized Glass: Endless Views, Boundless Spaces
Custom dimensions, limitless designs: Over Size Glass solutions
// Over Size Glass //
What is called oversized glass?
Oversized glass, also called jumbo size glass, is increasingly used in modern architectural projects to meet high aesthetic and design requirements. When a building design includes too many glass joints or gaps, the overall visual effect can be negatively impacted. To achieve cleaner lines, wider views, and a more seamless appearance, oversized glass panels are often preferred.
What size is oversized for tempered glass, laminated glass, and insulated glass:
2440mm×3660mm [8’×12″] —————-called oversize(elementary)
3300mm×13000mm [ 10’10“×42’8”] —–for Vivois Oversized Standard
3300mm×18000mm) [10’10“×59’1″)] —-called extreme
2750mm × 6200mm [9′ × 20’4″] ———-for curved tempered glass
In general, glass is considered oversized when the width exceeds 2440 mm (8 ft) and the height exceeds 3660 mm (12 ft).
Oversized glass: width: ≥ 2440mm * (8′) ; height: ≥ 3660mm (12′); extreme lengths: ≥ 18,000mm (59’1″).
Oversized glass can be processed into different architectural glass types, including tempered glass, laminated glass, and insulated glass, depending on project requirements for safety, strength, and thermal performance.
The maximum available dimensions for our standard products are 3,300mm × 13,000mm (10’10” × 42’8″), with custom options available for extreme lengths up to 18,000mm (59’1″). Additionally, we offer curved tempered glass with production capabilities up to 2,750mm × 6,200mm (9′ × 20’4″).
Oversized glass allows architects and designers to create open, transparent spaces while maintaining structural performance and visual elegance, making it an ideal solution for high-end facades, curtain walls, and landmark architectural projects.
